Jenny Packham Spring 2012 Collection
London-based designer, Jenny Packham, had a huge boost when the new Duchess, Kate Middleton, donned one of her shimmering gowns at the 10th Annual ARK Gala Dinner at Kensington Palace. With its light blush shade, chiffon flutter sleeves and sparkling embellishment, it didn’t just turn heads, it wowed. Certainly, all eyes were on Packham’s Spring 2012 collection. On the runway, there was a splash of appealing seaside shades in light vibrant greens, washed aquas and light dabs of sunny yellows.
Her signature flutter sleeve appeared on several numbers, sometimes floaty and other times hugging in at the shoulder. Packham also experimented with shades of orange, going from a soft sorbet to a more vibrant tangerine.
Women looking to dress for another kind of runway – the wedding aisle – have increasingly sought out Packham over the last few years.
